Choose a suitable location
- Make sure area is clear from sharp edges
- Is a flat ground
- No slipping hazards when stepping in and out of bath
- Suitable to drain water after use
Assemble Ice Bath
- Unfold the bath tub
- Insert support tubes
- Inflate the air ring. It has a double cap head; for hand pump, stick in the middle cap, to decrease the hole size and it has an air lock that keeps airflow inwards while pumping
Add water and ice
For a non athlete we recommend to add 20kg(4 bags from Coles etc) of ice. It will bring water temperature down to ~12 degrees. Add half bags when bath is half full- second half 2min before stepping in.. Remember not to overfill the ice bath. Water level will rise 10-15% as you step in.
WARNING!!!
Do not try Wim Hof or any other breathing methods from Youtube on your first cold plunge…
